This funicular was completed in June 2013. It is of the monocable twin-car reversible type, with the horizontal distance of 743.09 m and elevation difference of 496.28 m.

Based on the world's advanced level, it is a funicular project with the most complicated geological condition and the largest transportation difficulty in China. In addition, it has a high degree of mechanization and automation, is equipped with the perfect monitoring system, and adopts the anti-tree falling device in China's funicular project for the first time.
